Care Team

Our goal at the AROOSTOOK ‘House of Comfort’ is to ensure each person dealing with a life-limiting illness has quality of life in an atmosphere of caring, comfort, compassion and peace.

A team approach of specially-trained professionals consisting of health-care providers, nurses, home-health aides, social workers, chaplains, bereavement staff and volunteers will work with the patient and their family to customize and follow a plan that reflects the patient’s needs and wishes.   The team will work together to meet the physical, medical, social emotional and spiritual needs of the palliative and hospice patients and families facing terminal illness and bereavement.

The team will include a licensed, qualified health-care professional that will be responsible for coordination of care and to ensure continuous assessment of each patient’s and family’s needs and implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care.
