The Aroostook House of Comfort’s Remembrance Way is paved with personalized etched stones honoring family and friends. Situated between the gazebo and the hospice house, it is a peaceful haven for comfort and reflection. We invite you to memorialize your loved one with a stone and message of your choice. After the stones are placed in the pathway, a dedication ceremony will follow in late summer. Your gift helps us provide compassionate care, comfort, dignity, and support to those who journey through hospice.

Order forms must be received by June 1st so the stone can be etched and placed in the pathway in time for the annual dedication ceremony in late summer. Invitations are mailed, and event info is posted on our website and social media. The Aroostook Hospice Foundation, owner of the Aroostook House of Comfort, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Your gift is tax-deductible and helps us provide compassionate care, comfort, dignity, and support to those who journey through hospice.

“From the moment the Aroostook House of Comfort hospice team got involved, we felt such a load lifted from our shoulders. So many people were involved in so many helpful ways. Her medications, personal care, and pain control. All the things that we could not adequately do anymore. She now had qualified, competent, caring, and gifted people to care for her. We are still so moved and touched by the kindness and compassion of everyone involved.”

“My father lived at the Aroostook House of Comfort for thirteen days before he passed. Dad and the family were welcomed on arrival. Dr. Jones was there to greet Dad and meet with the family. My father was treated every day with kindness and compassion. Our family felt welcome, and we were there daily. This is the most wonderful place, and we are so blessed to have it in our area.”
